Growing a new economy: the experience of San Patrignano at the Social Enterprise World Forum 2015

The event, focusing this year on “Growing a new economy” is the expression of the most interesting and most innovative experiences gained in Italy, in Europe and in the world, and offers to all social enterprises, policy makers, operators, investors and the community of philanthropists an opportunity to compete and to grow together. Among the 170 speakers also Antonio Tinelli, President of the San Patrignano Community, who spoke yesterday during the session dedicated to “the evolving landscape of social enterprises in Italy” by presenting the experience of the community itself.
The debate, in which he participated, among the other speakers was, the Economist Stefano Zamagni, who addressed issues such as the limits and potential of different ecosystems, the ability to respond to crises of modernity in different latitudes of the planet, the need to innovate and to engage new generations, impact investing, profit and non-profit social space and partnerships.
Launched in 2008 in Edinburgh, after going to all the different continents, The SEWF arrives for the first time in Europe, in the year of the Expo. The eighth edition is promoted in Milan from 1 to 3 July by ACRA-CCS Foundation in collaboration with two strategic partners: Fondazione Cariplo and IULM University.
