The cheeses of San Patrignano were awarded by iFoodies in Milan

San Patrignano ranking first among the three agricultural businesses receiving the most “likes” in the app iFoodies. This was announced yesterday as part of the presentation of the iFoodies Award in Milan, at the BMW City Sales Outlet where the Communities dairy, where the wonderful cheeses are produced using only the milk from our own livestock, has earned the first prize thanks to the appreciation of the users on the digital platform, which has “over 50 thousand downloads” as pointed out by Filippo Polidori creator of the project iFoodies for BMW.
San Patrignano, with its fertile and uncontaminated soils creates healthy and nutrient rich products, fully reflects the iFoodies philosophy, telling the this region of Italy’s story by way of their food and wine products. The cheeses are the result of all these values, handmade without using conservatives only the energy and hearts of the residents who work to rebuild their lives and a better future.
The more than two thousand five hundred agricultural farms included on iFoodies represent the excellence of the territory and greatly appreciated. For this reason, through the iFoodies Awards 2015 we wanted to reward those organizations that have had a higher popularity on the platform, through the preferences expressed by those who have downloaded and attributed a “heart”, in line with the philosophy of the “like” of social networks.
Among the other award-winning producers, the Abruzzese wine company Valle Reale and Sabadi, in the section “Extra iFoodies”, a special recognition award was given to Lorenzo Cherubini for the tour “Lorenzo in the stadiums 2015”. Further more, in the category “Special Milano” launched in April 2015, the premises who had received the most hearts from users of the app awarded including: Ratanà restaurant, D’Or restaurant, pizzeria D’O, Carlo e Camilla in Segheria, Elita Bar, De Santis.
The iFoodies project was born in 2013 placing as an aim the promotion of Italian agricultural businesses spread throughout the area that produce products in accordance with the principles of organic sustainability. In these two years, more than 6,500,000 users have been accurately identified, of these, over 50,000 users have downloaded the app, ranking it first in the food sector in Italy. The app iFoodies fits perfectly in the holistic philosophy of the BMW brand that aims to make a decisive contribution to sustainability, through an innovative approach to the subject of mobility. In this sense, the discovery of this region and the excellence of Italian products in terms of quality and respect for nature, represents an important heritage that binds naturally to BMW i. The BMW Group was honored in 2015 by Dow Jones Sustainable Indexes as the most eco-friendly automotive company in the world.
