The Artistic Pole

Theater group the Artistic Composition was born in 2015 in San Patrignano with the aim of creating unique coordination of theater workshops; dance; music and singing; dedicated to the residents of the community.

The desire to create an area dedicated to the different forms of art born from the achieved awareness in recent years. It’s an example of how art and culture can become further instruments of growth. This positive experience has allowed the theater group to become, in 2012, the Society of San Patrignano, present in the same year in some billboards of the major Italian theaters. Right now, four laboratories are active in Sanpa involving a total of 120 residents.

Activity

However, this activity of great cultural and educational value has significant costs for a free company like ours. It was possible to create the Artistic Composition, that has officially started its activity in 2015, thanks to the contribution of the people who believed in this project and also supported financially by offering their support to artistic / cultural events of the Society of San Patrignano . The gains, albeit modest, have made it possible to turn even the dance class and music and to lift the economic burden of the community “Choir workshop”.
For this reason, it is for us is extremely important to support these projects, which guarantee the young guests of the community to grow up and develop, believing in themselves and in their future.

Community of San Patrignano

The theater workshop was born in the Community of San Patrignano as an integral activity of the therapeutic process with the aim of creating depth and leisure time, creating further opportunities for growth. The theater is a particularly in-depth tool on itself and in the relation to others; It allows residents to start a new and creative ways of dialogue and encounter with the real world and the problems that characterize it, becoming simultaneously a means of expression for those who live the discomfort.
The experience of being part of a theater project, through the language of acting, is an opportunity for many residents in the therapeutic program to experience a deeper relationship with themselves and with others, and to develop and / or deepen a passion.
Active since 2010 under the guidance of the former director Pietro Conversano, this internal laboratory, thanks to the long-term constant work, in October 2013 it has seen the birth of the Fellowship of San Patrignano, enrolled at the FITA (Federazione Italiana Teatro Amatoriale). The Company already has in its artistic curriculum, important debuts on some of the most famous stages in Italy as Il Piccolo in Milan and the Teatro Parenti, the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Theatre Biondo in Palermo, as well as being present in the billboards of the theaters in the near territory (Theater del Mare of Riccione, in Coriano Corte Theatre, Theatre Astra in Bellaria / Igea Marina, Solomeo, Perugia Theatre Cuccinelli). In the repertoire, to date, there are Cosi é se vi pare by Luigi Pirandello and “Amleto è passato da qui” taken from Hamlet by William Shakespeare, both revisited for chorus adaptation by director Pietro Conversano, who has recently launched Dante’s Inferno 2.0 drama representation, carried on by another collaborator called Pascal La Delfa that has already been involved in Sanpa’s theatrical scenes of Wefree. The next Dante’s Inferno 2.0 play, on tour to Cuccinelli’s theatre and Milan’s renowned Il Piccolo theatre.

“What is happening to the residents of SanPatrignano, of which some are involved in the theatrical activity during their communitarian program, is related to the universal themes that the great poet Dante has already tackled in his works,” says Pascal La Delfa, Director working for SanPatrignano since the midst of the last decade; he is now directing the Theatrical ensemble, as well as the social theater for people with discomforts and the drug prevention program, where theatrical shows are held in schools all across Italy. He also is the founder of the National School for “Theater Operators of special needs people”, being now its 10th year of activity.

The residents ofThe Artistic Pole of San Patrignano with the original music by Maestro Nicola Rosti performed live by the SanPaGroup band, under the directions of Pascal La Delfa that has also been composing its dramatic re-adaptation, all of this expresses: Love and hate, sorrow and joy, condemnation and Salvation, forgiveness and hope; This is the matter faced during the journey, with body and soul.

This direct tribute to Dante’s imagination leads to the crossing of dimensions, as from sleeping to dreaming, on a path to the ‘true ways’ abandoned in the dark forest. At the same time, the narrative goes from a blurry dream to the concrete sign, where the latter is the polyvalent sign of visions, with its intuition, or the ecstatic illumination.

Hell celebrates the human walk, with the measure and the pace given to one’s own steps, the foot and its shape. On the way, on our way, the steps are counted, rising if we fall, going on walking in order to continue to stand up, going towards ourselves to become self-conscious again, being able to face the risk of not overcoming the test.

Dante’s Inferno 2.0 is a virtual metaphor for placing this production in the current scene, contemporary with the life of the soul.
