Folco Terzani at San Patrignano for his book press release

The author FolcoTerzani, son of the journalist Tiziano Terzani, presented his book ” Il Cane, Il Lupo e Dio,” (The Dog, the wolf and God) a tale about nature, friendship and the sense of divinity.

“I was so impressed of the purification effect that San Patrignano had on me in a single day, so I always wanted to return.” And so it was. The writer Folco Terzani, son of the journalist Tiziano Terzani, managed to accomplish his desires, and on Saturday, November the 11th, he returned to visit the community for a very special occasion: the press release on his latest literary effort “Il Cane, Il Lupo e Dio,” (The Dog, the wolf and God)

In the theater of San Patrignano, in front of a large crowd of  residents on program, he spoke of himself and, of course, with relation to the contents of his book. “This is a piece of work that, in the form of a fairy-tale, contains phrases, experiences, insights that have seemed to me most useful in the past 12 years,” said the writer who has already been the author of successful books, “is a story of initiation, a journey of the soul and that is why I asked San Patrignano to present it here. Because here unlike a library there is an atmosphere of deep sincerity and introspection. ”

“The Dog, the Wolf and God” draws, in a harmonious alternation of words and images, the path of a domestic dog who decides to abandon his master and all the conveniences and certainty associated with it. A metaphorical tale behind which we read a gradual detachment from materialistic things with a total abandonment to the unknown. In this way the dog becomes a wolf, an animal that lives in tune with the absolute relying entirely on nature, and all that it can offer.

“If in your life you’ve been trying to get in touch with something beyond the materialistic”, concluded the writer, addressing the residents of San Patrignano in the Theater “You must know that, as the wolf, you can find it. Even for animals, there are, courageous souls. This is a difficult journey, but also profound and beautiful. To live it, however, you need to get involved. Only then you can see or dimly see the divine things that go beyond men”
