“An olive tree for life” the new project from Klorane and San Patrignano

Are the shared values that led to the birth of the project “An olive tree for life” by Klorane and San Patrignano, which will lead to the planting of a 1,000 olive trees by the year 2018, cared for by the residents of the community.

KLORANE Laboratoires presented this initiative to the press in Milan during their launch of their new line of olive extract anti-aging treatments for hair.
Since 1994, Monsieur Pierre Fabre created the “KLORANE Institute” who’s founding principles are based on the respect for nature and the envirnment, and works for the preservation and development of natural heritage.

The vision of this initiative found fertile ground at San Patrignano, which since 1978 has welcomed and helped reintegrate about 25 thousand young people with problems of drug addiction and marginalization back into society.

From 2015 to 2018 it is expected that 1,000 new olive trees will be added to the nearly 3,000 already coltivated by the Community of San Patrignano adding approximately 3 hectares of uncultivated land, ex pastures, to be recovered and used for this project. Within these four years the residents will be actively involved in all phases: from the preparation of the land, the planting, care and harvesting of the olives until oil production. With the new olive trees, San Patrignano will be able to increase the number of bottles able to be produced and sold to the public, contributing to the economic autonomy of the community. The journey of the project “An olive tree for life” will be documented by images, videos and posts that will be available on active websites and on all social media channels of Klorane and San Patrignano by the end of September.
