L’Oréal Italy donating a new Hair Salon for the residents of San Patrignano

The union of ethics and beauty gave birth to Sanpa Hair. CEO Cristina Scocchia presented this donation personally

Social ethics, attention to beauty, capable of generating passion and involvement, is the idea that inspired the collaboration between L’Oréal and San Patrignano. This synergy led to the achievement of this important milestone, the opening of Sanpa Hair inside the community. Present at the ribbon cutting, along with all the residents of the Community, the CEO of L’Oréal Italy, Cristina Scocchia.

The collaboration with San Patrignano started back in 2014. The world leader in cosmetics entered with caution when working with the rehabilitation center for drug addicts. The first step was the organization of make-up tutorial, reasoning behind this tutorial is to teach us to love ourselves again and to increase its value. L’Oréal Italy contributed a considerable amount of hair products as well as organizing hairstyling courses.
Today, thanks to the contribution from L’Oréal Italy, the residents of San Patrignano will have a new Sanpa Hair. “It will not only be an important aspect for the residents to look after themselves, but even more because it will be used more as a training center and further education for our residents who want to get back to the workplace – explained Andrea Gremoli, supervisor of the San Patrignano Shop – Many thanks to L’Oréal and all the professionals who have supported us free of charge, with lessons and interacting with our residents.”

The inauguration of this salon – Cristina Scocchia, CEO of L’Oréal Italy – is one of the first steps of a long journey together with San Patrignano. We are convinced that the supervisors are a perfect example for those who are doing the program and show a high level of ethical and social commitment to oneself and in the communities they serve, especially the reality of excellence as San Patrignano, a big family that welcomes people who have lost their way and offers them a second chance at life.
Sanpa Hair was a local house and a room with very few resources and old furniture. Today it has found a new home with a completely new location, with a new décor the main theme being “Salon Emotion,” the innovation of L’Oréal Professional (designed by architect. Guido Matta), functional and responding to the needs of the community, to allow students to train themselves to be the best hair stylist they can be and to offer excellent service.

L’Oréal Italy has chosen to launch this partnership within the framework of “Sharing Beauty With All,” a program for sustainability. This project is also part of the vocational integration by 2020 in Italy of 200 people from social disadvantage situations or persons.
